Edit > Generate GUIDs (select from Database Table Menu)
Generate GUIDs for a selected field.
This function creates Global Unique Identifiers (GUIDs) for a selected field. A GUID is a dynamically created text string which will always be unique and is ideal to be used as a key index to be used in joining tables. Note a GUID can only be created for fields with data type Text, and the long length of the dynamically created key can be a disadvantage. An alternative, is to use Create Unique Indices.
