Offset (click icon on Modify Objects Bar)
Create parallel copies of an object.
The behaviour of Offset depends on the object:
•Arc: Creates arcs at the same center as the original, with the same start and end angles.
•Circle: Creates circles within or outside the original circle.
•Polyline/Polygon: Creates polygons/polylines within or outside the original object.
•Line: Creates parallel copies of the line.
You will be prompted at the command line:
•Indicate side/direction of offset object(s). Hereby you can specify whether the offset object are within, outside or on what side of the the original object.
•Enter distance of offset.
•Repetitions [n] (negative repetition offsets symmetrically in both directions): Hereby you can specify the number of objects to be created. A negative number will create objects symmetrically in both directions of the original object.
