Scaling Objects

Objects can be scaled (i.e. increasing of reducing the object's geometrical dimensions) with the ScaleScale toolbar button or select from the main menu: Modify > Scale.

You will be prompted for the following:

Scale origin <ENTER for selection center>:

Either indicate the scale origin with a point, or press enter (or right-click) to use the selection center as the scale origin.

Scale factor or [Reference]:

Enter the scale factor manually, or move the mouse away from the origin to scale the objects interactively.

If scaling interactively, the current scale amount is displayed on the status bar. Alternatively, you can type 'R' (for reference) to specify a reference distance followed by a second scaling distance (construction lines will appear to facilitate the input).

Also notice the two check boxes at the top, viz. 2D (XY Plane) and Scale Line Width:

2D (XY Plane) can be checked to restrict distance calculations to the XY plane only (ignoring Z).

Scale Line Width controls whether line width are scaled with geometry.

Note that Albion does not support non-uniform scaling. That means that you cannot stretch objects by scaling one dimension more than another. All dimensions must be scaled equally.
