For tank size optimization, Tank Cost data is required. The user may enter tank cost data in the Tank Cost Functions editor, or use the default tank cost data function stored in the program. The data includes an establishment cost and tank unit costs for at least two tank sizes, for one or several cost functions. For in between tank sizes, the program interpolates tank unit costs, and for tank sizes beyond the largest for which a unit cost was entered, the program extrapolates the unit cost horizontally. The user can build up to 6 tank cost functions. The default tank cost function is stored at program start-up as Tank Cost Function No. 1. The default function can be overwritten by the user, by entering new data or retrieving previously stored data.
