The Times Settings in the time/WQ simulation data dictate the duration and time intervals of the simulation. Within a Duration of (say) 24 hours, the simulation is done in various time intervals:
•The Hydraulic Time Step governs the recalculation of system hydraulics (typically 1 hour).
•The Pattern Time Step defines the time interval length for specification of time patterns (typically 1 hour).
•The Quality Time Step governs the recalculation of water quality parameters, and is typically much shorter than the hydraulic time step (typically 5 minutes versus 1 hour).
•The Rules Time Step is the time step used to check for changes in system status due to activation of rule-based controls between hydraulic time steps. This value is typically 1/10 of the hydraulic time step.
•The Report Time Step governs the times at which the program writes time/WQ simulation results to the results file.
•The Pattern Start Time is the time offset into the simulation at which all patterns will start.
•The Report Start Time is the time offset into the simulation at which output results begin to be reported. The default is 0.
•The Clock Time at Start is the time of day (between 0:00 and 24:00) at which the time/WQ simulation starts. The default is 0.00.
