Edit > Copy With Base Point (select from Main Menu or apply Crtl+Shift+C Keyboard Shortcut Key)

Copies objects to the clipboard with a reference base point

Copy With Base Point copies the current selection to the clipboard, using an explicit base point.

To retain objects' absolute positions when copying and pasting, copy with a base point of 0,0,0. Then, when pasting, set the base point to 0,0,0.
