Modify > Trim (select from Main Menu)
Trims selected object.
The Trim function works as following:
1.The function differs from most other Modify functions in that at the start of operation no objects need to be selected (the selection must be done on a later stage, see step 4).
2.Select Modify > Trim from the main menu.
3.At the prompt: Select cutting edges (press Enter when done) - select the line/polyline that will be used as cutting line to cut the object.
4.At the prompt: Select object to trim or shift-select to extend - select the object to be trimmed (such as a line, polyline or polygon).
Note, if you shift-select the object at step 4. then it will be extended and not trimmed. The function is then identical to Extend.
