Fixes a drawing or a selection to 2 known points.

Fix to Coordinates can be used to adjust a set of objects or an entire drawing so that they are fitted to two known coordinates. The fitted objects are scaled uniformly and rotated so that they fit according to the 2 hook points specified.

Procedure

1.Select objects to be fitted, or clear selection if you want to fit all objects on visible, unlocked layers.

2.Select function from the menu. The following panel of input boxes will appear:

3.Type in the coordinates in the input boxes (left group) of the first known point, such as 14406.8125,-55021.875 or use the mouse pointer tool and click at known position.

4.Click the location of that point on the drawing or type in the coordinates in the input boxes (right group) . It is often useful to use snaps to pick the point accurately.

5.Specify as above the coordinates of the second known point, such as 14406.8125,-55045.75

6.Specify as above the location of that point on the drawing. Use snaps again to increase accuracy.

7.Notice the red and blue arrows (in the drawing environment) indicating the shift.

8.Click the green Ok mark.  The objects should now be fitted.
