Template Drawing

About

The Template Drawing is the drawing that you begin working with whenever you create a new drawing. By default, there is no template drawing, in which case new drawings get initialized with a default set of parameters (no custom linetypes, hatches, fonts, etc).

Any drawing can be used as a template drawing, but usually one will use a fairly blank drawing as a template. It is often useful to define a template drawing that has a set of common linetypes loaded, so that they don't need to be loaded every time they are used.

Configuring

From the File menu (of the Main Menu), there are two Template Drawing functions:

Save Drawing As Template: Makes a copy of the current drawing, and sets it as the template.

Reset Template Drawing: Creates a blank drawing and sets it as the template.

The path of the template drawing can be explicitly set (or cleared) from the CAD configuration window.
