General Purpose Valve

A general purpose valve (GPV) is a link. It provides the capability to model devices and situations with unique head loss vs. flow relationships, such as turbines. The valve setting is the ID of a curve which describes the head loss vs. flow relationship.

For improved mathematical stability of the network solver, the beginning and/or ending nodes of a GPV should not coincide with the beginning or end node of any other special link types, such as check valves, pumps, and flow or pressure control valves.
