Input

Input refers to the rate of water flow which is forced into the system at a node. Input is treated to be independent of local pressure. Input is the same as negative output. A node with input cannot simultaneously be assigned a constant head. This also implies that a reservoir or tank (i.e. a special node structure with constant head) may not get an input assigned to it.
