Edit > Invert Selection (select from Main Menu or apply Crtl+Shift+I Keyboard Shortcut Key)

Select > Invert Selection (select from Right-click Menu of selected entity)

Inverts the current selection.

This function deselects the currently selected entities and selects all other entities (on all layers) that were not initially selected.
