Modify > Simplify (select from Main Menu)
Simplify geometry of selected objects.
This function simplified the geometry (i.e. reduces the number of vertices) of selected polyline/polygon objects according to options that can be set at the ensuing toolbar:
•Create/Overwrite toggle button: These buttons can be clicked to either overwrite or create a new (simplified) object.
•Tolerance: A tolerance value can be specified for the simply operation. Two vertices closer together than the specified tolerance value, will be reduced to a single vertex.
•When all options are set, click the green Ok mark to execute the operation.
•Also note that the polylines/polygons must be selected, otherwise the function will not be invoked.
