Tools > Cleanup > Convert Polylines to Arcs (select from Main Menu)

Convert polylines to arcs.

Sometimes it happens that arcs and circles in a drawing file have been exploded into polylines. The function Convert Polylines to Arcs provides a quick way of turning these exploded polylines back into their native arc and circle types.

Procedure:

•Select the objects that require fixing. There may be other objects in the selection. Only polylines will be considered for conversion.

•Select the function from the menu.

•Enter a tolerance value between 0 and 10. A higher tolerance allows rougher arcs and circles to be converted. Entering a tolerance too high will cause arbitrary polylines to be converted to arcs. The default of 1.0 is fine for most purposes.

•To see which items were converted, invert the selection.
