The Model Data > Model Topology > Join Nodes function joins two nodes into a single node. This function can also be accessed by the Merge Two Nodes toolbar button. There is a prompt for the first node, followed by a prompt for the second node to be joined together into a single node. All the links previously connected to the second node will now be connected to the first node.

The Join Nodes function will not execute if the two specified nodes share a common link.
