There are three types of link controls which can be specified/edited by selecting Simulation Data > Simulation Tables, and then choosing one of the following sub-menu items:
Links Controlled by Time: controls which are based on the time elapsed during the simulation or actual clock time.
Links Controlled by Nodes: These are simple controls, based on tank water levels or pressures at nodes.
Links Controlled by Rules: These are complex rules which can control links in the system.
