Events are triggers for the recalculation of system hydraulics in the time simulation. Typical events which may occur in a simulation are:

•the next hydraulic time step;

•the next output reporting time period;

•the next time pattern period;

•a tank becomes empty or full;

•a simple control or rule-based control is activated.
