The Curve Data table is accessed via Model Data > Model Tables > Curve.
The Curve Data table can be used to define data pairs that describe the following relationships:
•Flow-Head curves for pumps
•Flow-Head loss curves for general purpose valves (GPV)
In the time simulation module, the curves may also be required for:
•Level-Volume curves for tanks
•Flow-Efficiency curves for pumps
The Curve Data table has the following fields:
•Curve Type: Can be VOLUME, PUMP, EFFICIENCY, HEADLOSS or PEAK_FACTOR.
•Curve No: An integer ID for the curve, e.g. 123. Two different types of curve can have the same ID.
•Curve Descr: A text field which can be left blank, or in which any descriptive text can be entered for the curve.
•Up to 20 XY pairs: At least two pairs of values must be entered to describe the curve. The variables to be entered for the various curve types are:
Pump Curves: X = Flow, Y = Head
Head loss Curves: X = Flow, Y = Head
Volume Curves: X = Level, Y = Volume
Efficiency Curve: X = Flow, Y = Efficiency (%)
The Graph menu option can be used to view graphs of the various curves, as described later in the section on Viewing Graphs of relevant data and results.
