All pipes, pumps and valves (with status open) that are connected to (or trace towards) a user-specified link can be selected with the Model Data > Model Selection > Select Open Pipes, Pumps, Valves to Links function. When unbalanced, the direction of the the drawn entities will be the 'flow direction'. With this function smaller sub-networks (or sub-systems) within a system can be selected.  The above-mentioned valves include all model valves, viz. CV, FCV, PRV, PSV, PBV,TCV and GPV.
